Question 1993 blazer 4dr 4wd

My son has a 1993 s10 blazer and we want to determine if it is already set up for remote keyless entry. We bought it used and it didn't have a key fob with it but it has pwr win., pwr dl and an push button on the dash for the back window above the tail gate. I believe it is already set up for keyless, all we have to do is get a remote and program it. My son say it's not that simple. How do we find out if the vehicle is already set up for remote keyless entry

The vehicle is not here right now but my son is on his way. Where would the reciever/transmitter be?

Hmmm....

I didn't think 1993 had this option.

Did they have keyless entry in 93?

Look for AUO on the RPO list in the glovebox.

I got on ebay and found 2 original key fobs for 1993 blazers. This would indicate to me it was an option at that time

Ebay would sell you keyless entry remotes for a 1974 schwinn bicycle.

Look for AUO on the RPO list in the glovebox.

'93 has keyless as an option...because mine has it. I don't know where the module is for it though.

Hey there Caddilac! Yes, the 93 Blazer had the option. The transmitter/receiver is located between the two front seats beneath the console. You need to remove the four screws holding it down. Two screws are inside the console at lower right end looking from the drivers side, and the two others are located beneath the cup holder which pops right off with little persuasion.

Hope that is helpful for ya,
