1/20 vs. 1/24 size
Hi Guys,
I'm thinking of buying my first ever 1/20th F1 kit, but I'm not sure it fits in my vitrine I store my 1/24th cars. Can somebody write the approx. size of a completed F1 model? Thank you!

Re: 1/20 vs. 1/24 size
Hi mate. F1 kit is about same size like 1/24 car kit and it also fits into display case for 1/24cars. IŽd say GO FOR IT, coz it look impressive when built. I am currently building one

Re: 1/20 vs. 1/24 size
1/20 is slitghtly larger. I'd say about an inch or so longer and half inch or so wider. I remember a long time ago putting a 1/24 Ford Escort and a 1/20 Ferrari F310B next to each other and NO, they're not the same size... 1/20 F1 is noticeably larger.
But seriously, go ahead and build it and think about how you're gonna put it in there later. I'm sure that if you like your end result with the F1 car you will find a place for it! |

Re: 1/20 vs. 1/24 size
janositamas - it also depends on what you want to build and collect. There are more F-1 cars in 1/20 scale but with the exception of a couple of the Fujimi Ferarri 248's or the Tamiya Ferarri F60 there are little new cars - Revell 1/24 scale has more newer F-1 cars but less total cars to build - John

Re: 1/20 vs. 1/24 size
Thanks for the answer guys. I build 1/24 street cars normally, and I have a separate vitrine for Ferraris only. What I found interesting is the F2007 with the pit crew Fujimi kit, still I'm not sure it fits in the vitrine, but from what I can see in the linked picture, I think it will!
