Performance 1.5L vs 1.6L

i am look at buying a 2000 to 2002 aceent Gsi. i know that the 2000 gsi has the 1.5L SOHC. in performance what are the big driffent between the 2 motors. i plan to swap a 2.0L motor in only after 3-4 years that i have the car. so what is better gsi with 1.5L or with 1.6L???

Re: Performance 1.5L vs 1.6L

All depends on whether you prefer apple juice to orange juice. Basically neither car is going to be a speed demon but I would advise to get the 5 speed if you want any get up and go ability in the 1.5. I imagine the 1.6 is not much better in that respect. FWIW
