09 Civic Newbie
I wanted to see if anyone could help me out. I am looking to buy an 09 civic and I have found one with 18K. I have a few questions; In general how should the exhaust sound at idle in park? I own a smaller 4 cyl car and normally the exhaust is very quiet however on the 09 civic it sounds like a moped... sorta... I test drove another civic and the exhaust sounded similar. Can anyone else hear their exhaust at idle? Also the tires seemed to have more tread on the inside then the outside, so I thought there might be an alignment issue, however the car is still under its bumper to bumper so if that is a problem i think its easily fixed. Are there issues or things to look specifically at before buying an 09 civic... any current chronic problems to be aware of? I have only heard good things about honda and their civics so I would appreciate any help or advice before purchasing.
Thanks in advance. |

Re: 09 Civic Newbie
I owned the 07 civic and yes it has a noticible noise when it comes to the engine. In any case the car was utterly reliable in every way shape and form, though it is brutally underpowered for how much it weighs. I put nearly 80k on my civic in just under 3 years and had no issues with it. I am sure you will have no problems with your car. As far as the tires go, if they are under warranty, usually they arent covered, might as well have them replaced and the alignment checked.
