ecurie ecosse transporter

built from scratch in 1/24 scale, made from plasticard and various plastic stock. saw some plans in a magazine article by mike sells, it is 14 inches long, with a fully detailed interior. the ramps are held up by invisible chocks that will only move when the tailgate is lowered. a mate in work challenged me to do it after reading an article in motorsport magazine, only saw the real thing after i finished it. so there were a couple of errors, but all in all i was pleased with it. would like to do the gulf transporter now, any photo's out there ? the d types are :- no 4 revell xkss, other two are lindberg with resin bonnets grafted on. all have resin interiors and wheels and tyres.

Re: ecurie ecosse transporter

A quick look at the net seems to indicate Gulf used an AEC in the sixties and a MB in the seventies. Mike Sells' Porsche transporter is the MB. The AEC could be easily drawn by modifying those plans.

Re: ecurie ecosse transporter

yes it is the aec, i thought about getting a spark 1/43 model and use that as reference. it would be very impressive next to a couple of gt40's and a 917.

Exceptional scratch building. It adds much to your D type models.
