Electric Fan
*99 Bravada*
I am going to add a little 10 in. electric fan in front of the radiator for some extra cooling and I am trying to get a wire from inside at a switch to the engine area. Has anyone ran wires in a bravada and what is the easiest route to get to the engine area? Thanks |

Re: Electric Fan
Do you do a lot of idling with the A/C on? If not what exactly is the point of the fan?

Re: Electric Fan
I don't know of an auxiliary fan circuit on a Bravada.
I put all mine in neutral when sitting at a traffic light or stopped traffic during the warm months to keep the oil pressure on the right side of the gauge. It just happens to help the cooling system too. |

Re: Electric Fan
Adding anything electrical will increase the load on your engine and reduce your gas mileage unless it replaces a mechanical load so I wouldn't recommend adding a fan. There are some electrical fan replacement kits for the Bravada available in the after market, and there was a do it your self replacement post about using a junkyard Taurus electric fan to replace it. Here's a couple of links on the subject.
