spark plugs
Where are the spark plugs on a 99 turbo 1.8 liter engine? I've been doing minor maintenance since 1960, but getting nowhere with this engine.
Thanks I learned this is a no distributor ignition system. Plug access is under flat rectangular coil assemblies on top of valve cover. No old fashioned ignition wires. Last edited by arm36and; 06-16-2011 at 08:56 PM. Reason: new info

Around the oil filler is a large plastic cover the width of the engine. Simply grab it and lift straight up, it is clipped to the engine. The four spark plugs are below it.
