Rear brake lines

After an exciting ride home last night I will be working on my rear brake lines. Anyone have any tips? I believe the intrigues use 3/16" tubing correct?
Thanks in advance

Re: Rear brake lines

Yes and bubble flares not Inverted double flares. The back lines rust out near the fuel filter where they have a union Also have a look at the right front passenger side as it wiggles over towards that caliper. They tend to rust out under where the air conditioner condensation from the evaporator drips onto it (brilliant GM engineer) near where the passenger puts thier feet. Also there is a plastic clip where that line tends to rust out down at the bottom where the driver puts his/her left foot . this line goes across the driver footwell and then up over the exhaust and back down across the pass. footwell onto a another clip and then up the frame rail to the caliper. A real SOB to get in there. I believe it is the first part put in the car and then in goes the engine and other stuff. I kept the stainless flex bit and another foot or so of line down to above the sway bar and then used a union to add the rest

If i was going do another i would probably run the line up top, across the firewall under the window cowling and down behind the coolant tank instead of trying to put in the stupid line the way they did it.

cheers and good luck
