Weird A/C Cooling Fan Problem
Hello,
I have a very weird issue with my A/C. When the A/C is on, and I do not accelerate, the Vent on the dash is working fine and blows cold air, but as soon I accelerate, it stops. When I turn the A/C off, it blows normal. What can this be? Thank you |

Re: Weird A/C Cooling Fan Problem
Your W-car's black plastic vacuum line is broken at the point it passes by the battery-- battery gases deteriate the line- make it brittle--once you repair this, the vents will work normally- they are losing vacuum control due to the vacuum leak in th eline. Use a small rubber hose to splicce the line. I have seen slip-shod mechanics set the new battery on this line and break it.
Seen this problem maybe 150 times.....This is a Lumina sedan and not the APV correct? if APV, it does also apply- but vacuum leak is at the power steering pulley usually.

Re: Weird A/C Cooling Fan Problem
Thank you so much for a fast response.
Where do I find this plastic vacuum line? Where is it located? Are there pictures out where it shows the line and is it difficult to repair? And yes, it is the Sedan 3.1 |
