A new vehicle

I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport and it is a V6. It eat up the gas that I put in it. If I fill the gas tank up to full, in about 3 day the tank is empty. I use this truck to go to college (8.5 miles from my house) and back twice a week, and to go to my mom's house (20.3 miles from my house) and back once or twice a week. I'm a college student and I really don't have then money to fill my truck up every three days. So I have been wondering about getting a hybrid or economical vehicle. I have tell to a mechanic about both types of vehicles and he say to go with a Honda Civic. I was thinking about getting a Scion Tc or a Nissan Altima Hybrid since that have good mileage. I will to get a second opinion on a vehicle.

Re: A new vehicle

Hello James.... I've read your post and I think I could give feedbacks about Honda Civic. Honda Civic whether the type R or the Hybrid types have cool features. I own a Honda Civic Type R 2007 version and I really don't have problems with its gas consumption...

If you don't mind, Maybe you should check you Dodge Dakota if there are problems with its auto parts. I don't usually hear complains about gas consumption. Maybe there are leaks...

Re: A new vehicle

Altima hybrid is going to cost you a fortune, and then you have to worry about the hybrid battery dying in 10 years which will be another fortune on top of it all.

You can get a used Honda Civic or Accord, Nissan Sentra or Altima, Toyota Corola and even the Hyundai car lineup (the car models escape me right now, but then again I've had a headache for almost a week) will give you good gas mileage and not be nearly as expensive to purchase or even maintain.

I hope that helps give you some direction!
