Aluminum wire size???

Hi
i just started in scratchbuilding aluminum parts and i need to know what size of alu. wire can i use for coil overs of 1/24 and 1/25 scale???

Exactly. I'd get a bunch of different diameters and experiment. That's what I do. It comes in handy later, anyway...

There are a few tools that I conside to be essential, such as an airbrush (and in my case) an Optivisor.

However, one that I find indispensable and that I keep close to hand is my digital vernier caliper. It's absolutely essential for figuring out the right size for anything.

If you consider that a typical coil-over spring is about the thickness of your small finger then it's simple enough to measure that, divide by 24 and there you have your answer. Even better, setting the caliper to that scale size then helps you to find the right material very quickly.

Thanks for all the replies, i will consider all the options. By the way i already got a digital caliper and airbrush system. Right know im starting to know how to turning parts in a new lathe that i bought a month ago. So if any of you got ideas or advices they will be welcome too.
