Taking the Engine Out of a Mazda MPV LXE 95'

Normally I would never have trouble figuring out the best way to take an engine out of a vehicle, however; the engine in a Mazda MPV LX(E) was built like it was made for a tank. Almost everything is disconnected except for the tranny, which is where my question comes in:

Should I pull the engine out the vehicle with the tranny attached? I'm worried about whether or not anything will be supporting the tranny when it's disconnected from the engine.

I can provide more information and photos if necessary.
