Are you sure the idle cannot be adjusted with tuning software?

The software updates usually do help, at least with other issues that could crop up. There is a TSB floating around that says to clean the throttle plates and that usually corrects the problem.
Reason I asked about the tune to raise the idle is beacuse I can set my powertuner to idle wherever I want. I just hope the computer in your car isn't going nuts trying to close the throttle plate when the screw is set farther out. I'm not to famailiar with the drive by wire system, but it may even trip a lean code as the throttle body is not closing all the way when the PCM commands it too, allowing air to pass by.... Just keep an eye on things.
