the drive gear spins to driven gear inside the tranny, correct?
cuz for some reason my speedometer won't seem to turn on its own. I ran the cable without any sharp corners and spun the wire with my fingers. the speedo needle DID move, but when Ihooked it up into the driven gear, the needle doesn't move. could it be a problem inside the tranny? Thanks.

Re: the drive gear spins to driven gear inside the tranny, correct?
The gear may be stripped or broken. They're usually made of nylon which gets brittle over time. Take off the little foot bracket that holds it in the tail shaft and it'll pull right out. Any problem will be obvious.
