2005 Ford Focus ZX4 - Timing Chain?
Hey guys. I have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 with 70,000 miles. I was concerned about the timing belt/chain that the car has, because I heard that the timing belt should be replaced at 60,000 miles. But I also read around that the 2005 and up ZX4 models didnt have a timing belt, and that they had a timing chain.
IF anyone knows, does my ZX4 have a timing belt or chain? Also if my car does have a timing chain, does the timing chain need to be serviced, or is it non servicible? Thanks guys. |

Re: 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 - Timing Chain?
I went thru the same thing with my 2007 focus. Ford parts guy couldn't figure out why he got a chain when he wanted a belt. Asked the ford mechanic there and he said around 2005, they switched over to a chain. As long as you change your oil faithfully, the chain should never have to be replaced
