90 E350 C6 TV/ Kickdown lever and cable??
Hi everyone,
I have a 1990 E350 Bucket Van with a 351w and a Jasper re-manufactured C6 trans. On the C6 transmission, what is the normal amount of play of the outer manual lever. The outer manual lever is where the TV/ Kickdown cable attaches to the C6. When i pull it back like i would be pressing on the gas it only goes maybe an inch and then sounds like its hitting metal. With that being said, where the TV/ Kickdown attaches to the throttle body there are two crimped sleeves on the cable to make it loose until the throttle is put it at 7/8ths of WOT. I dont know if this is correct. Thanks any help would be great. |

that sounds good right there! The function of the cable is to kick down the trans into second when u are flooring it to pass or lane change! If it goes 3-2 when you hit it, its doing its job!!
