2 questions

hello i have a 2000 sunfire 2.2l. 1st question is why does my oil light come on when i idle below 750 rpm and 2nd question is i changed my thermostat and the low level lights keeps comming on even through it is full and one more thing when i changer the thermostat i also changed the transmission filter and now i have a wineing noise when i pick up speed so i dont know if its from changing the thermostat or transmission filter.

the oil light comes on because the engine is not getting enough oil. either the oil sending unit is going bad, or the oil pump is going bad. your low level light will keep coming on because the sensors are known to go bad easy. just ignore the light, or tap the sensor everytime the light turns on. eventually that will stop working and you will have to replace the sensor tho. and as for the whining noise, it was likely always there and you just never noticed it before because mine always makes a whining noise when i accelerate

One question addresses the culture and the other addresses the environment.
