where is the pump?

i know this is a moronic question, but im going to ask anyway...is the fuel pump on a 2001 old bravada inside the tank or somewhere else? because mine just went out on me today. the car shook violently when i tried to start it, and when it did start, i couldnt hear the fuel pumps signature whine as i was driving, then it cut off. after a few tries it started and i made it home. any info is helpful

Yep, it's inside the tank. Tank has to be dropped to replace the pump.

Re: where is the pump?

When you drop the tank, you'll see the top of the pump hanger assembly.
