p1495 evap code,where is the pump?
1997 eagle talon without turbo gives a p1495 code. EVAP LDP Solenoid. The mechanic wants to replace the pump. Where is the pump and can this be done myself? thanks!

What pump? The evap emissions stuff is the charcoal cannister. You don't even need it. I took mine off because it got in the way of my intercooler piping. I still don't have a CEL. Sounds like somthing may be wrong with the wiring or something is disconnected to trip the CEL. If you're state does emissions tests, then you will need to fix the problem. But as far as the performance of the car it shouldn't make any difference.

I think I found it, under the left front fender. Yes I do have to get the light off for emissions in my state (not fun). NAPA says they have one for $37.00. I dont think it is called a pump. I think it is called a valve, not sure. Thanks for the help!
