Re: DIC not working

I think you may need a code for it right? You might have to get a dealer to program it for you. It's probably the easiest way. May cost you though.

Re: DIC not working

What year and mileage do you have. Are you having any other problems? Like your blower not working on certain settings. If this is not your DIC directly, your ignition switch could be on the way out. This is common on these cars. My DIC was dimming on one side last year and I just replaced the bulbs but this sounds more than just your back light bulbs burning out. There is no code or reason for a dealership to program our DIC's.

Re: DIC not working

2002 with 232000 KM

Ive basiclly been replacing alot of things, But so far my fan
will not work on 5, the 3 buttons to the left of the DIC are
not lit until i have had the car running for about 20 minutes,
they light up after, but when i slow down and come to a stop
they turn off, also my heated seat doesnt seem to want to
turn off so i had to pull the fuse.

On a side note, my TCS dont work but the TCS button
lights up, i pulled the DIC fuse to see what would happen and that
made my TCS work again.

Re: DIC not working

A Flaky ignition switch can and will cause all kinds of electrical problems, including your symptoms. There's a step by step instruction guide in our "Tips and Maintenance" section to replace it. And you can run a search here to find others who have had the same problem.
