2006 Rear Hatch Door Actuator

My rear hatch door actuator needs to be replaced. According to my dealer, if you change the actuator you also need to change the door latch. Is this true? They have the actuator in stock, but the door latch need to be shipped in and wont be here until next week.

Thanks.
