2001 ford taurus
just got done replacing head gaskets on a 3.0 v6 vin U started right up no problems but have code P0443 evap code
History on the car it sat for a few months with heads off, ran just fine before the timing chain cover gasket when out we first thought it was a head gasket until we got the heads off and seen that the timing chain cover gasket was the col-prate and leaking all the coolant out, got all new gaskets and followed the procedure to install all the new gaskets and torq specs now it runs but runs like crap till it warms up3-5 minutes and then the engine light comes on with P0443 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit but noticed that i forgot to plug in a wire that leads to the evap control valve but still have the same problems Any help would be great

Do you have access to a scan tool to clear the diagnostic codes now that you've plugged the EVAP valve in to see if that helps?
Have you checked all the vacuum lines to make sure they are connected and not pinched? Do you happen to have a vacuum gauge that you can connect to see what the vacuum is doing when cold? Have you tried pulling all the spark plugs to see if you have one that is burning differently than the others? -Rod
