Abs light and service Engine light

I have a 2001 one regal with a 3800 and the Abs light comes on after about five minutes of driving. The traction light and service engine light comes on also.
I had the codes read and was told I need a new thermostat so I change that but still getting all the lights.

I do get a winding noise, like a bad wheel bearing.

Anybody have a idea what I should do?

Re: Abs light and service Engine light

The CEL light will not go off by itself unless the vehicle has complete 3 consecutive drive cycles, passing all PCM monitors without a fault in the system being detected.

Your ABS light will also affect the TCS (traction control system), but will have no effect on the CEL light. From what you are describing, your ABS light may be on due to a problem with the wheel bearing.
