Protoge keeps dying

I have an '01 Protoge with the 1.6l 4 cyl. The Head gasket blew due to a radiator leak. I replaced the head gasket, shaved the head and did the rings. Also due to the heat I replaced the o-rings on the injectors. The engine is extremely hard starting. It runs in idle just fine after starting but if you put any load on the engine like putting it in drive or turning on the a/c it wants to die. When I come to a stop it will sometimes die and is very hard to restart. No check engine light on. Please help.

Re: Protoge keeps dying

It sounds like a timing issue, especially since the head gasket was replaced, belt might be off a couple teeth
