Recent Downtime
Hello everyone, sorry for the unannounced recent downtime on AF, but hopefully the least possible amount of people were affected by this as the downtime occured mostly during the Memorial Day here in the US.
We have fully and completely indexed our message board so now the forum search should be working beautifully as it did before the server move several weeks ago. I have tried to reindex the search engine a few weeks ago but was unsuccessful as it took much longer than I expected and I did not want to have the website closed for days. The reindexing process began on Sunday night EST and it was only completed Tuesday morning here. Which means it took well over 40 hours.... phew! Also, great news: The email works again on AF. So if you're subscribed to a topic, you will begin receiving notifications again! Enjoy the site everyone!

You rule. Now...what about our missing little dots that say we posted in a thread?  Bah, I wasted my 5000th post on this?!

Do we really want those dots back? (man you notice quick!)
It adds quite a bit of load to the server so I thought how we'd do without them. But if there are more voices that desperately need the dots back, then let them sound off here!

Well I can certainly live without them, it's just they're handy for scatter-brains like me since I often forget what I have and haven't posted in...

When you're looking at the list of threads, each has a little envelope at the left of it...if there is a black dot in the middle of the envelope, you've posted in that thread, if not, you haven't
