Front Axle

I'm hearing a grinding when the steering wheel is turned any at all to the left on my 2005 LeSabre. I don't think it's the hub assembly because I changed it not long ago. Would it be safe to assume the axle may be worn out?

Re: Front Axle

If the sound starts as soon as the steering wheel is turned even a very small amount to the left, then your steering rack may be at fault.

If the noise only occurs during faster cornering, then it may be a wheel bearing.
