'06 SV6 - HVAC Heater loss while driving.

'06 SV6: On a trip a few months ago, I was fiddling with the cigarette lighter plug for my GPS. The GPS went off than went back on. After that, the HVAC blower began blowing out cool air. It was 2 degrees outside at the time and we had about half an hour of our 3 hour trip ahead of us.

After 10 minutes, it got very cold inside and humidity began building on the windows. We made it through the last 20 minutes uncomfortably and got to the in-laws house. After getting everyone inside, I started checking fuses and found nothing blown. I decided to start the van again and see if anything else wasn't working. The heat began blowing nice and warm again. The problem never came back.

I know there are some circuit breaker style fuses that reset automatically, but I didn't think the heater relied on them. But I'd have to think this was the case here. Anyone know for sure?
