Tower Hobbies: Shipping Restricted Items

Hi

I recently read in Scale Auto Mag about the following two kits;

Revell 1/25 1949 Mercury Custom Coupe 2 'n 1
Revell 1/25 '57 Chevy Bel Air Two-Door Sedan 2 'n 1

I tried to buy them today and they are shown as "Shipping Restricted Items" and they will not ship them to Ireland. It also appears they will not ship to ANYWHERE in Europe, didn't know Ireland was part of the axis of evil.

Does any one know of a good European source for these kits?

Hi Dave,

I bought 2 1/20 mclaren m23 in february from tower hobbies and had no problem shipping them to Belgium. For the kits you can take a look at Domino.be. Maybe you can find them there. They will ship to Ireland.

Re: Tower Hobbies: Shipping Restricted Items

It's possible that because they are Revell USA kits, that Tower does not consider them to be licensed for sale to Europe (or doesn't want to run the risk that they are not licensed).

I doubt that there really is a license issue- in the US, we can get both Revell USA and Revell Germany kits. But if Tower won't send them to you, I'm sure you can find them online somewhere else.

have a good friend in the US? have them go to hobby lobby and buy them then ship them. I get a good 40% off coupon every few weeks or so.
