90 civic hatchback wont start
ok i have a problem....i have a 1990 honda civic hatchback and it will not start...NO turn over or nothing...i have replaced altenator, starter, ignition lock/key, ignition wiring, battery, all brand new grounds and a new distributor....and it still wont start....also i can pop the clutch and it will start up fine but other than that it wont...can anyone help?

quite the interesting problem you have....
with you being able to pop start it fine, i would say the problem lays in the starting system... i would first test the starter, out of the car, to see if the problem is there... then i would test the ignition switch inside the car, and with a multimeter, follow the path the signal SHOULD take to deliver power to the starter to start the car... where you stop seeing power... the break is somewhere in that area... good luck |
