high rev problem solved!!!

I am not sure if this goes here but wanted to post this in case anyone else ever has this problem in the future...
First, my wife's truck will sometimes idle up to 4000 rpm with the clutch mashed and then come back to 1100 at a full stop. This went on for about a year off and on. Took it to shops, talked with people and got answers ranging from throttle sticking to vacuum leak to replacing in take gaskets. Not sure if these are related issues, but...
Took my scan device and plugged truck into it KOER test revealed O2 sensor bank 1 and 2, and engine temp sensor no reading... tried engine temp sensor first, as it was cheaper, and five days later... still no more high idle. Mind boggling to me but it has not went above 2000 rpm since I replaced the sensor... I hope this helps someone in the future...
