Tamiya Aston Martin DBS

I think this is my first model in over a year. Wasn't sure I'd remember how to build or paint. (New camera and I need a little more practice with it).

Tamiya, built out of the box. Painted with TS-15 Blue base coat then two light coats of TS-54 Light Metallic Blue and clear. Toned the wheels down a little by repainting them silver. Nice kit, fun to build. Hopefully it'll get me going again without waiting a year to build another one.

Thanks for looking...

Re: Tamiya Aston Martin DBS

A very clean looking build you have done on this beauty.

One thing though, there doesn't seem to be a lot of space around the wheels in the arches.

That's beautiful man. I guess you airbrushed the metallic blue? It seems like trying to do that with rattle can would be a little too risky with the possibility of blotching.

The tires that come in the kit are a little too tall of a sidewall and need to be replaced with a lower profile tire. For now I just wanted to finish something. I may respray the wheels a little darker metalizer, at which time I'll replace the tires also.

Nice build!

That's the kit that ended my modeling career.
