Talking Mini cooper Top Chop 1:12

hello all,
I'm new here and this is my current project, I will put a lot of photos at once to show you how far I came.
So up to photos

it is a mini austin top chop with motor 1380, and bolt BMW K1100RS Weber carburetor 45.

it will also be equipped with a flip-front to admire the entire engine

for the appearance I was inspired in part thereof:

and for the engine that's some photos of what looks like gibberish that I put above the good engine it has kept its ramp motorcycle fuel but mine will be two instead weber

So much for the picture project, we now turn to reality!

First I cut the 4 posts and then recut the tower roof 4 as

then I fill the spaces or it is missing and I spend the same time smoothing the body

So we move on to sanding and we go there with a good heart, then traces the grooves of door and here's the result I'll spare you the details of catch amounts to putty

good that's done, now we go to the roof, I first retrieve the roof of the mini Lazareth necessarily to be 2 and cut the two roofs into 4 parts then reassemble into one because the fact to lower amounts, you could see from the photos a little higher, you have to "expand" the roof but extensively up the pictures to see how it went:

is maintained on all four sides as the mini can

and finally assembles the two parts together

the engine and now he 's not finished yet but I think being on the right track

here I'll let you see the pictures and I repost soon!

thanks for viewing and sorry for my english

hello,

so I'll just show you the inside and the little touch up the engine but I'll explain it in pictures

http://www.specialist-components.co....dCategoryID=36

So here are some pictures of the little editing:

before

after

there's just the top right of the head as I sanded the 16 valves because her form was the form of 8-valve, so much for the explanation

a little less light and more details on WEBER 45

and yes it is a breech BMW

and up to the hoop as the true

but first to the hoop that is taken

more it is heated and a little

to give it I do not know yet if I will add bars or not

and it takes both parties to assemble

then are assembled to see if it works well

and adds body

then cover

and it goes!

gone is gone for good "alcantara" placed on all seats

so here following the laying of tack with "leather"

back seat

then a seat, I do not put the other is the same as

and then gluing the leather on the upper

Front Seats

and the back seat

and

and the end for the full leather

then drilled 2 small holes in each piece

I glue two small rods into the holes in the headrest but I'm not stuck on the side of the seat to make it functional as a true

and assembled

and that's a nice leather that I can sell it more expensive

hoping you like it

Awesome work on the leather! Must have been a long time to trim them all perfect! Will you add the strips at the edges where the pieces join?

Re: Mini cooper Top Chop 1:12

thank you and hello to all,

then these are small steps

a little inside:

and turn the roof now

it delineates

and cold cuts are

and is sanded a bit to make it clean

at first I had to cut the wheel because they were too far from reality so we could see inside the car when I opened the flip-front so as usual we scratch

but then again the wheel is stuck on deck

then we go to serious stuff

not bad at first saw no? and that is why I had to decline

then eventually clog it up reinforcements

and adjusted, not yet finished but I prefer the glue is dry to handle it well

and small steps with the carpet but I am the most annoying, now it will be almost as squares

good, the carpet, it's done

then we go to the dashboard Me

First I put a rod "guide"

then I make the bottom panel

more photos here

and a small forward at the carburettors

and here it was easier than I thought and it will have it's still more realistic right?
and this is the moment your comments

Re: Mini cooper Top Chop 1:12

hello all,

Here are some small steps:

a small tachometer with shift-light

then I will do so has also redo the deck of the engine

I made the small bracket that holds the clutch like this one

and mine

Then I decided to do my flip-front in another way

So I glued the cover on the wings into a single piece

and a small photo of the car without his flip-front

then again and again for news and still scratch, so I first made the ignition coil

Then I attacked the throttle carburetors

and here is what position he will

well it still lacks the cables, then I'll just refine the rooms upstairs and down, but it must go through the first paint box

and the small tab located on the axis

and to clean

then the steering wheel before and after but it still lacks the small screws

there he will tank, electric pump and something else

originally

and once rebuilt, and yes I can not get enough to rebuild all parts

then to turn the filter

and it is left for the pictures!

First, the front subframe which I remade the front crossmember as true

then it was the turn of the exhaust manifold that I am finally in a tube of 4mm which I have "appointed" the end so that it fits (and no ulterior motive)

and for those who want to see what it looks like in real life:

Re: Mini cooper Top Chop 1:12

hi all,
a big update after a long absence

first of all, the engine received its final color:

then I put some small "bolt"

:s crewy:

and the weber

and I decided to make a panoramic glass roof

the blue plate is transparent styrene I thermoformed in hot water

then I took care of fixing the trunk door

and I glued the wings

the subframe received his personal touch and support damper directly above

and finally the painting of the body!

without the flash we see the true color better

and outside, there's more to pass the clearcoat

So much for the time being, comments are welcome
