John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
Hi all,
It has been quite some time since I've been posting anything in here but I've been following this forum from time-to-time. This is my latest build.... a Mini Cooper S build for a friend for her birthday. She wanted a black and blue scheme so I give it a try with blue flames and borders. Enjoy the pictures... Comment and suggestions are welcome... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That's all folks...

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
Awesome paint! I find the tan dashboard distracting though. Exhaust tips missing?

Corre: Thanks.
Ferrari TR: The tan interior was done intentionally... and the exhaust tip is not yet attached during the photo session. It was added afterwards before it was sent to the owner.

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
Looks fantastic. Are the flames painted or decals?

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
different look for a mini. but she wanted black and blue, so what better way than to put blue flames. came out great i think. very different.

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
Its a beauty. Im still trying to learn how to airbrush flames like that. They look realistic.

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
Thanks again for all the comments guys.
MidMazar: I use a few templates with variations of curves and I just use it by randomly placing it onto the areas and spray using airbrush with thinned paint. The key is to spray randomly.

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
When looking at the pictures, stupid me read the text aftewoods, I was wondering why You didn't do the flames in a more natural color. Would look amaziing betweene the blue stripes.
Still this is one very nice model, and I envy You the airbrush skills. |

Re: John Cooper Works' Mini Cooper S
Thanks for the comments. This is actually the first time I'm airbrushing this type of flames and I am actually thinking of a natural colour flame in my other build.
