Brake squealing

Hello,

It's winter here in Toronto and I know the cold makes the brakes squeal but mine seem to be squealing really loudly. I haven't heard other Mazdas in the neighbourhood make such horrendous sounds in the morning.

The squeals go away within a minute of driving so that is good. But is there anything else I can do to not have the car squeal so loudly at 7 in the morning?

Thanks

Re: Brake squealing

have you checked the brake pads? also it might be warning signal telling you need brake pads if i'm taking it right your noise is in the front? pads could be loose that will make this noise also. if you don't what warning signal is there a meatal piece on one of the pads that tell you you need brakes before it ruins your rotors.
