Re: 95 escort Gt won't start

How did you determine there is no power?
When you turn the key from off to on you should hear the fuel pump build pressure.
If you hear it building pressure then the problem might be with the inertia switch in the trunk.
If you are certain there is no power then your first job is to check fuses. If fuses check out alright then you either have a bad pump or a short in the wire somewhere... it will take a little troubleshooting but should not be too hard to narrow down.

Re: 95 escort Gt won't start

If you are certain that you have power and a working pump then your problem is most likely going to be in the ignition switch.
You will have to troubleshoot the circuit to be certain... but if you are savvy enough to do it, you can disconnect the wiring from the ignition and use some jumpers to figure out if the switch is your problem.

Also make certain that your inertia switch in the trunk has not been tripped.

Re: 95 escort Gt won't start

Fuel pump relay may differ between years in it's location, but on the '94s it's on the passenger side firewall in the engine bay. The other relay next to it is the AC/clutch relay.
