1994 grand marquis starter issues
my car would not start, lights still came on, radio was on, but it would not turn over or do anything. I was told it was probably the starter so I went out and bought a new starter and it started right up for the first few days. Now after I filled up with gas it did the same thing that happened with the old starter, lights came on, radio still works but it would not turn over. Could it be an electrical issue? Please, please, please if you have any advice, I could really use it!!!

Re: 1994 grand marquis starter issues
It could be your battery.
Try jump starting your car. If you get it started go to Autozone or Advanced Auto and they'll check your bat an alternator for free. How old is your battery? There should be a date sicker on the top of the battery.

Re: 1994 grand marquis starter issues
I replaced the battery about 2 years ago. Could the battery already need replacing?

Re: 1994 grand marquis starter issues
Just my
, but in addition to having the battery tested, also check the battery cables to make sure you have a good connection. I was just about to update my post from a few days ago: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1059867 It turns out the cable going to the starter is really corroded. |
