1995 Chevy Blazer 4wd Problems
I know i posted this question before but haven't had a chance to get back online and can't find it. Anyway, I have a 1995 Blazer that will not go into 4wd. It is an electronic 4x4 and when pushing the 4hi button nothing with happen. No light and don't hear anything. When in neutral I pushed 4hi and the 4lo button blinked a few times but still nothing. I have been looking at a few posts and it looks like the actuator might be under the battery box. Is this correct? How do I test it before just replacing it or could there be something else wrong?

Re: 1995 Chevy Blazer 4wd Problems
Because it's under the battery box, you'll have to be sure vacuum is applied to it before removing the battery and it's pan. With vacuum applied, and the battery stuff removed, you should be able to tell if the vacuum has retracted the bellows for the actuator, pulling the cable into the actuator housing about 1". You can remove the vacuum at the actuator to see if it releases. Also, with the hose removed, if you have another piece of hose, you can test the actuator to see if it works.
