Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2 Road Version
Hi. Started this kit shortly after completing the nismo GTR. Wanted to complete this before the end of 2010... oh well.... Anyway, it is now completed! An overall nice kit with interesting details. The negative details i can think of is the location of the fuel cap and decals for the side indicators. Still a fun curbside kit for a quick built though.
I've built it completely OOB. Yes, even the seat belts are decals from the box.![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Thanks for looking! |

Re: Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2 Road Version
What a beauty!
I did mine in yellow as well, suits the car very well but can be a bear to work with. Super job, well done. Regards, Steve. |

Nice model. Love the choice of color.
Is this the default stance for the suspension? |

Re: Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2 Road Version
Thanks for the comments.
Yes Steve, I was praying hard that no dust or dirt gets to the wet paint while spraying the body. It's really hard to get a good finish with white and yellow. The paint is very transparent. Any dirt or dust on the paint have to be sand away before the next layer can be lay as the paint cannot cover up the imperfections. Hi Stig, yes, the build is completely OOB. I did not do any lowering to the ride height. Tamiya did a great job on this. and i'm loving your widebody porsche too. ![]() Endac, I'm still trying out with the settings of my dslr. Still can't really grasp the correct settings especially white balance and focus.... I really need to practise more. |

Love the colour on this, the paint has a great shine to it.

Your oob model looks nice. Thats one build oob that the wheels don't need to be changed as the bbs wheels fit it perfect. Thanks for sharing. |
