1990 corsica fuel problems

I got this 1990 2.2L corsica and it turns over just fine, but it wont start, even when i give it gas as its cranking. A friend told me that i most likely had a fuel problem, so i went and got a fuel filter last night and put it on. Nothing changes. The only way to get the car to start is to spray carb cleaner onto the engine, and as soon as you stop spraying it, the car dies again. Again, the engine has no trouble turning over. The next thing i get to try and fix it will be a fuel pump, but any advice would be appreciated.

Re: 1990 corsica fuel problems

Hopefully, the fuel pump will do it. It doesn't sound like a Corsica-specific problem so you might want to look elsewhere in the forums if the fuel pump won't fix it.
