HHR Serpentine Belt

2006 HHR 2.4, attempting to change serpentine belt. I have purchased a special tool, which is a long flat bar with a 3/8 drive stub welded on the end. Very tight quarters. I can only connect from under the car, but the travel is not sufficient to release tension on the idler pulley. Anyone know of a tool available specific to this application (or a trick)?

Jim

you don't see a diagram under your hood have you looked? also if you talking about tensioner if your having problems there it just takes a wrench put on nut and pull tensioner up to get belt off if thats the way i'm taking you?
