2010 How did you do?

As we're into the last few hours of 2010 i thought it would be interesting to look back and see how this year went in modeling terms.
Personally i
Purchased 14 kits
Started 3 kits
And finished 0
Bit disappointed about not finishing any this year but hopefully some will start rolling off the production line in 2011

Re: 2010 How did you do?

Purchased 6 or 7 kits
Christmas I got 1 kit
Started 3 or 4 kits
Finished 0.

Had a very hard time this year getting motivated to build. I started a superdetailing project on a dragster, and got kinda frustrated w/ it, I didnt like how it was coming out, and that kinda stalled all my building. I was hoping to have the dragster done by the end of the year, but its not happening. The engine is almost finished but the body isnt painted, and there are several other things that need to be done.

Re: 2010 How did you do?

For me 2010 was a very good year in every way I think.. maybe too good? :P

Purchased about 25 kits
Started about 10-15 kits
Finished 5 models.

I had a hard time to find what I really wanted to build this year.. I finished 2 Ferrari 430 Scuderias and 2 Nissan Skyline JGTC 2003 (Motul Pitwork and the Calsonic) and the Ferrari California.

2011.. hmm.. the greatest year in modeling EVER ? I hope so.. atleast for me !

It was great year for me in general with two new jobs and a new home with my own model room!! But a slow modeling year for me.

Hopefully 2011 will bring many finished projects.

Re: 2010 How did you do?

Purchased: 1/2 (one half) E-bay parts kit.
Started: 5 though only one was a brand new build.
Finished: 4

I'm happy with the result after finishing just one last year. I did some pencil and paper modeling on my holiday flight and came up with a list of a dozen unfinished projects that i really want to sink my teeth into this year. My 'Custom New Beetle' is the first in hopefully a nice series of completed models from the lost project boxes. There are a several new releases comming in the spring that i may have to get as well. The Myers Manx, '66 Batmobile and Revell 458 (US release) are on the top of my list right now. The SSP 'Blackwidow' kit would make a nice late x-mas buy for me too.
Then there's the Revell contest. I don't know if i can come up with something interesting out of their kit list. I like the idea of their contest I'm just not much of a hot rod builder.

its been a slow modeling year, lots of personal transitions (i.e. line of work, move to MD) I got started on as many kits as I could, Inspired by POPUI on his Murciealago LP 670 SV, I am building one right now, I put the 288 GTO on hold since I need alittle skill improvement before I complete that kit so its on hold as of right now, I will work it in right after the Lambo. I have a 40th anniv to finish up on (mirrors and rear deck lid and its done) No Wip unfortunately for that one (Camera crapped out). There will be a WIP for the LP 670 though since I got a new Camera.
