Size of steering knuckle to strut bolt/nut?
Just wondering if anyone happens to know what the size of the nut and bolt is for the two pinch bolts that hold the steering knuckle and strut together.
I know I don't have the socket and wrenches that big, so will be picking them up before, so I have everything I need before I start. Its a 2002. |

Re: Size of steering knuckle to strut bolt/nut?
To answer my own question...lol, the pinch bolt is 21 mm (there is only one) and it is sure contrary to loosen. I was thinking it would be tough to get in there and measure the bolt head, but it wasn't too bad.
So far, have switched out the struts with some Monroe Quick-struts, changed the control arm on the RH side, changed the stabilizer link bars. tomorrow will be changing the sway bar bushings, and installing completely new front brake components. |

yep, get yourself some PB blaster for those sorts of jobs and spray the components each day for 3 or 4 days previous to attempting the repair. That'll help to make things looser.
