Tamiya Primer Discountinued?

Merry Christmas AF!

I'm having a hell of a time finding Tamiya primer. I normally order from Hobbylinc, but they've been out of it for quite some time now

I've tried, ehobbies, megahobby & towerhobbies with no luck

Any suggestions on where to get it besides the 19.95 a can on ebay shipped from Hong Kong. (I don't think so)

I have seen one seller at 9.95 a can......I'd rather support the hobby shops

Anyone know what's happening with it?

Re: Tamiya Primer Discountinued?

It's being "re-labeled" for the foreign market right now. Probably another 4-6 more weeks, according to my LHS. Was told this 2-3 weeks ago. They did this about 2-3 years ago as well, IIRC.

thanks alot for the info, I really appreciate it, I was going to start hunting for a good alternative. Speaking of which, what would be a good alternative to the fine grade of Tamiya primer?

Mr. Surfacer 1000 or 1200, which I think is better than Tamiya.
You can no longer order spray can directly from Japan, but you can still find them at well-stocked hobby stores or some online retailers.
