95 Grand Prix mystery wire

3100 engine and it has a couple of wires which I have no idea what to do with. I am not if they were connected when we bought the car.
Any idea what this would go to?

Re: 95 Grand Prix mystery wire

Since the car doesn't seem to miss it, I suppose it is not an important part of the wire harness.

Re: 95 Grand Prix mystery wire

Since you're in Idaho, I wonder if it's for a cold weather option like a factory battery blanket that maybe has been removed? The wire looks to be about the right length to reach the battery area.

Looks like the wire for the under hood lamp.

Re: 95 Grand Prix mystery wire

I agree with ecartman, looks like the wire that goes to the under hood lamp. Mounted on the underside of the hood. Commonly gets unhooked when the car gets worked on for any length of time and commonly forgotten after the repair.

Re: 95 Grand Prix mystery wire

Good thought on the underhood light as if they ever get the hoods replaced after body work, they could get forgotten.

Although, did grand prix's come with underhood lights? Mine doesn't have one. Although mine is a 2000. Maybe 95's did.
