P997 GT3RS "9ff"

Hello fellow modelers,

lately I figured out that the Welly GT3RS is also available in white, unfortunately not in Germany. I imported one from the UK (where they also have a black one available) and started to modify it:

- Front and side indicators: pins removed, foiled and lightly smoked
- Carbon decals: bonnet, roof, rear wing, air vent, all coated with flat clear
- Front splitter from the parts box, puttied and painted
- BBS Le Mans wheels
- Brake disks from the parts box
- optimized all the windows (fit)
- Rear lights tinted red and removed pins
- scratched exhaust
- Rear wing modified
- Headlight sourround masks plotted from 3M foil
- Front window mask (same 3M)
- Rollbar painted white
- opened air intakes in front

That's it. On to the pictures....

Mike

Looks fantastic. They really do look great in white. The offset on the wheels looks good too

good idea Mikezibit, very nice contrast between fibre zones and white colour.

Really clear

Re: P997 GT3RS "9ff"

Excellent work. I have yet to see a car that looks bad with BBS LMs on it

Very nicely done, Mike

I'm with jaykay - you'll be able to fill that dealership diorama all by yourself soon!

Re: P997 GT3RS "9ff"

I saw the model in Frankfurt - looks cool and totally different to what you see in the Welly box.

(I just ordered a set of these wheels)

Re: P997 GT3RS "9ff"

Great attention to detail. I do wish there was a plastic kit of this car but the die-cast is very nice and with what you've done a nice compliment to any Porsche collection.

Re: P997 GT3RS "9ff"

Very cool, love these Welly Porsches...I found one just like it, now that they finally sell them in the US. All I've done so far is lower via opening the axle holes a bit. The only real downside is the faintly-engraved fuel door.
