95 f150 straight 6 drinking oil

i have 95 f150 300 6 cyl that is pouring oil out of the exaust.i can drive it about 50 miles on 5 quarts.it does not smoke,it does not misfire runs out excellent with good power.the oil just runs right out the tail pipe. i guess i could wire a bucket under the tail pipe and catch the oil and thin recycle the oil back into the motor.thanks for any help

those 300 6 cyl are good moters i had one still wish i had it. sounds like oil is getting past the rings? but i would think it's missing i would do a compression test on it just to see.

thats a good ideal on the compression check.if the oil is bypassing the rings should'nt it be smoking.

yes it should be smoking by all rites and missing fouling out the plugs. in mine it was the rear seal was leaking.

Unusual problem. If this started happening suddenly, my guess is a cracked cylinder head is introducing oil inth the exhaust port. As mentioned above, any other route for oil getting into the engine would produce smoke.

If this has been gradually getting worse, I would guess badly worn exhaust valve guides/seals.
