93 f150 straight 6 oil pan
hey all, just wondering what I have to do to change an oil pan on a 4.9l straight 6. I have been told that I have o jack up on the engine to remove it, is this true? I have also been old that on a straight 6 it isnt necessary to do that. which way is correct and/or easiest. thanks

Re: 93 f150 straight 6 oil pan
Are you changing, because of a bad pan or gasket?
A leaking pan can be fixed without removing. |

Yes you have to jack the engine up. A lot of steps to the procedure. I would suggest you buy a Haynes repair manual that covers the '93 F150. About 20 dollars. It gives step by step instructions.

It shouldn't be a real hard job if you follow the instructions in a manual for that vehicle. It would be a little time consuming though. |
