Ferrari 250 SWB

Here is my newest creation.
Itīs the Italeri Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta.
The car is made as the 250 SWB Stirling Moss drove to victory in the Tourist Trophy in 1960 and 1961.
The color is Zero paints Dark Blue mixed with Jet Black with a white undercoat to make the background for the numbers.
Only detailing made is the intakes under the headlights, the wire wheels, a new steeringwheel and the filler cap.
Itīs missing the talepipes as they broke and i am waiting to get some new.

And here it is with my 2 latest finished models, the California is also Italeri and the 365 is Fujimi enthusiasts model

Re: Ferrari 250 SWB

Wonderful build Jsks! I can tell you mixed blue with black because it casts a blue shadow!

What was the source for the beautiful wheels-on all three builds?

Re: Ferrari 250 SWB

Wonderful build. Great attention to detail and wire wheels look great. Hiro?
Italeri kit look weird though, out of proportion a bit up front.
"Truck" tires are not helping, but overall you definitely pulled it off!

Re: Ferrari 250 SWB

Thanks for your comments The wheels on the 250 SWB are KA models GTO wheels The 250 California is HIRO wheels and the Daytona is on its own Fujimi wheels.
The tale pipes is in the mail.

Re: Ferrari 250 SWB

Are the KA wheels for the Fujimi kit? or are they for the Italeri kit?

Re: Ferrari 250 SWB

I don't remember but i think they are for Fujimi models as I had to modify the model to make it fit.

I looked into this a while back and was only able to find a KA GTO wheel set for the Revell/Italieri/Protar tool. Unless something has changed....
