1993 Ford F-150
I have a 93 f-150 with a 300 6 cylinder with a manual trans. I have replace the hydrualic slave cylider 3 times in the last year. It blew out again a couple of days ago and this one has less than 500 miles on it. Is there something causing these things to go out?

Re: 1993 Ford F-150
Are you using genuine Ford slave cylinders or aftermarket? Do you have any kind of special clutch disk and pressure plate, or just a stock style?

I have used slave cylinder from both oreilys and napa. The clutch is stock .....nothing special there.

Re: 1993 Ford F-150
I read a lot of these forums and these internal slave cylinders from the parts places do not seem to hold up well. I would use only a genuine Ford slave cylinder. When you consider the labor it takes for replacement it is a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.
