Crossed power steering lines/98 3.8 Windy
I replaced both P S lines on my 98 3.8 Windy, now the low pressure line is blowing off.Could I have the lines on the rack crossed? the fittings are same size,so it might have happened. Can someone tell me.
Thanks Bob in Wichita |

Re: Crossed power steering lines/98 3.8 Windy
I answered my own question. I switched the lines and the steering wheel was turning back and fourth so hard,I could not hold on to it. I put the lines back and checked the lines again.. Found a faulty clamp, replaced it and so far no leaks, and the steering is working fine.
Hope this helps some one out there. |

Was the high pressure at the top of the 2 on the rack?
There is a question on this in another thread.
